The Communist Party of China says it will redesign how war is fought. In the PRC’s 5-year plan to 2025, Xu Qiliang, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission, writes that the PRC must “surpass and accelerate the transition from passively adapting to war to actively designing how a war is fought.” Song Zhongping, former instructor with the PLA Second Artillery Corps: “If we can get the upper hand in terms of how a war is fought and develop our strategy, then other nations will follow.” Ambitious talk for a country that has never won a war against a foreign country and has hardly any military experience at all. 😂
